How to access Sabinet Discover via email domain authentication

These are the steps a user would follow to access via email domain once the domain has been registered with Sabinet:

  1. Go to Sabinet Discover – https://discover.sabinet.co.za/
  2. Click on Sign in in the top right-hand corner:
  3. Click on Create Profile to create a new myDiscover profile if you don’t already have one:profile-signin
  4. Complete the registration form by choosing a Username and a Password and entering your official email address linked to the institution whose email domain has been registered.Note the password requirements: the password should be at least 8 characters long, and it should contain a number, a special character, and upper- and lower-case letters.
  5. Tick that you agree to the Terms and Conditions and tick the Opt-in box if you wish to receive communication from Sabinet.
  6. Click on REGISTER PROFILE:
  7. The user will now receive a verification email sent to their official email address which was entered when the profile was created. Follow the instructions in the email to verify and activate your myDiscover account. Please check your Junk and Spam mail folders for the verification email. Ensure that the email address the verification codes are being sent from is whitelisted by your IT Department / Mail Administrator:

  8. Once the account has been verified, go back to Sign In at the top and sign in with your myDiscover username and password which you just created. Click on Sign Into Account:

  9. At the top of the page, it will display that access is provided by the institution (Sabinet in the example below) and the myDiscover icon will also display showing that the user is now signed in with their myDiscover profile:

  10. If the user clicks on the Subscribed Products link under the Help / Support tab at the top, a list of all the products they have access to, will be displayed:

  11. Users can search over all content and all products, but they will only have full access to the products and services their institution subscribes to.
