Our mission is to support libraries’ technical processes, promote resource sharing and enable access to credible information sources, underpinned by exceptional customer service.

We subscribe to the following principles, and we expect the same from our employees, directors, partners and stakeholders: 

  1. Integrity: We uphold the highest standards of integrity in all our actions and decisions. We act ethically, honestly, fairly and transparently in all our business dealings. We support independent and objective thinking and are committed to providing quality services. 
  2. Respect: We treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability or sexual orientation. We create an inclusive and diverse workplace that fosters mutual respect and tolerance. 
  3. Compliance with Laws: We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to labour laws, tax laws, environmental laws, and anti-corruption laws. We do not engage in any illegal or unethical activities, and we report any suspected violations immediately. 
  4. Confidentiality and privacy: We respect the right to privacy, and we protect the confidentiality of sensitive information, including trade secrets, customer data, and personal information, and we use information only for legitimate business purposes or as may be required by law. We do not disclose or misuse confidential information for personal gain or to the intentional detriment of the company or its stakeholders. 
  5. Conflict of Interest: We avoid conflicts of interest and situations and relationships that present, or could be perceived to present, a conflict of interest and that could compromise our objectivity or integrity. We do not engage in any activities that could conflict with our duties and responsibilities to the company or its stakeholders, and we disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest promptly such that these situations can be managed responsibly. 
  6. Health and Safety: We prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate. We comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, provide a safe working environment, and promote a culture of safety awareness and best practice. 
  7. Environmental Responsibility: We are committed to protecting the environment and minimizing our negative impacts on natural resources. We comply with all environmental laws and regulations, strive to reduce our carbon footprint, promote conservation, and adopt sustainable business practices. 
  8. Social Responsibility: Our business dealings underpin our social conscience. We strive to innovate and adopt best practice, in consultation with our stakeholders, to support the achievement of the SDGs. We contribute positively to the communities we operate in, through corporate social responsibility initiatives, charitable donations, and community engagement. We respect the rights and dignity of local communities and other stakeholders. 
  9. Reporting and Accountability: We report transparently and timeously to stakeholders. We encourage and support employees to report any suspected violations of this Code of Ethics, or any other ethical concerns, without fear of retaliation. We will actively listen with respect and investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action to address any violations. We hold ourselves and each other accountable for upholding the principles of this Code of Ethics.

APPLICATION AND AMENDMENT 

  1. This Code of Ethics applies to all individuals and entities associated with the Company, including but not limited to employees, directors, officers, contractors, suppliers, service providers, and any other third parties with whom the Company conducts business. All parties are expected to uphold the principles and standards outlined herein, ensuring ethical conduct and integrity in all interactions and operations.
  2. The Code of Ethics shall be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors to ensure its continued relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with the Company’s values and regulatory requirements. Amendments or updates will be communicated promptly to all stakeholders.

This Code of Ethics serves as a guide for all employees, directors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that we operate in a responsible, ethical, and sustainable manner and uphold the values and principles of our company and the applicable laws.
