Sabinet and WWIS Partner to Expand Access to African Knowledge Across the SADC Region

Centurion, South Africa – Sabinet is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with Worldwide Information Services (WWIS) aimed at strengthening the visibility, discoverability, and accessibility of African research and information resources across the SADC region.

The collaboration brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting knowledge access and empowering the information community through high-quality African content and innovative information services.

Through the partnership, Sabinet and WWIS will work together to increase awareness of Sabinet’s African content offerings and explore opportunities to engage libraries, researchers, academics, and information professionals across the region. The collaboration will draw on the combined expertise, networks, and industry knowledge of both organisations to support broader access to African scholarship and research.

“We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration presents,” said Pierre Malan, Client Services Director of Sabinet. “By working together, we can help extend the reach of African knowledge resources and create greater awareness of the valuable content and research produced on the continent.”

The partnership reflects a shared vision of enhancing access to information, supporting knowledge discovery, and contributing to the continued growth and visibility of African research and scholarly content.

As the collaboration develops, Sabinet and WWIS look forward to exploring initiatives that further support the information and library sector while promoting greater engagement with African knowledge resources across the region.
