Sabinet Library Products Advisory Committee Meeting

On the 8^th and 9^th September, 31 members of the Sabinet Library Products Advisory Committee met at Sabinet’s Centurion offices for the second meeting of the group. These library professionals, who are specialists in their field, give Sabinet valuable feedback about issues important to their institutions and about Sabinet’s library products and strategic direction.There are three sub-committees:Metadata and Cataloguing; Interlending; Reference and Collection Development.These sub-committees discuss issues and requirements that are specific to these three areas of library service. By facilitating this meeting Sabinet remains close to its client base, understanding the trends and the needs within these various areas.Sabinet would like to thank the members (and the institutions to which they belong) for taking the time to meet with us and for the valuable contribution that they make.
