Dear clients,The SA Media database has been greatly enhanced by the increased functionality and features provided by the Sabinet Reference platform (http://reference.sabinet.co.za), as well as by the processing of every single article with Optical Character Recognition software to facilitate the full-text searching of all of the more than 4 million articles in the database. This means that every word in every article is fully searchable, thereby greatly increasing the possibility of finding relevant information.The database is now completely current and daily updates are being loaded on the Sabinet Reference platform, ensuring that the database remains completely up-to-date.The SA Media database covers more than 120 South African periodicals and newspapers from 1977 onwards, and in addition to the full-text searching available, index terms are also assigned to news articles.A link takes the user directly to the PDF version of the original newspaper article.For more information on subscribing to the service please contact your portfolio manager or mail us at info@sabinet.co.za
